Guest Policy

SBTS/Boyce affiliates are allowed three guests or one family group per visit. Groups of four or more people must get prior approval from the HRC director or administrative assistant.

Beginning August 1, each SBTS/Boyce affiliate (student, student spouse, employee etc.) will be allowed 10 free guest passes per year. Guest passes will reset on August 1, 2022. Once these guest passes have been used, there will be a $5 per person fee for all subsequent guests. Children under the age of 11, as well as parents and siblings of students, are always free.

All guests must be hosted by a SBTS/Boyce affiliate and must stay with their host during their visit. A waiver will need to be signed from BOTH the guest and SBTS/Boyce host. That waiver may be filled out in advance here.

Guests under 18 MUST have a Parent Release Waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian prior to accessing the Health and Rec Center. That waiver may be filled out in advance here.

Personal Training Policy

  • Beginning the Fall of 2019 HRC patrons may not bring non-affiliated patrons* to the HRC for the purpose of personal/private training and private lessons at any time.
  • HRC patrons are allowed to work with other affiliated HRC patrons** for the purpose of personal/private training and private lessons for no compensation. Meaning you all have current access to the HRC with your SBTS shield card.
  • Individuals that are on the HRC payroll will be the only individuals allowed to use the HRC facility for personal/private training or private lessons for compensation if they desire.

Why is this policy being implemented at this time? The HRC has been lead to implement this new policy due to liability concerns (ensuring that those training in the center have the proper training, certifications and insurance coverage) and due to our HRC Child Protection Policy (CPP).If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to the Director of the HRC Coach Michael McCarty via email at mmccarty@sbts.edu.
