Meet Ashley Akesson

Coordinator of Childcare

Mrs. Ashley has been working within Children’s ministries in various contexts over the last 10+ years. She’s been a Sunday school teacher and preschool/kindergarten intern for her church before Boyce and regularly serves in the nursery at her church Ninth & O since being in Louisville from Fall 2018. She most recently has completed her Bachelor’s in Youth & Family Ministry from Boyce in the Summer of 2023. She loves serving the families of Southern by overseeing the Children’s Department and is passionate about teaching kids about the Lord and His love for them no matter their age. In addition to her work in Children’s Ministry, Mrs. Ashley has been married to her husband for the past almost 4 years and they have a little two year old named Henry! If she’s not working, you can often find her with her little family, doing something artistic, or participating in her local church Ninth & O.

You can email her at: aakesson@sbts.edu for questions, prayer requests, or even to set up a meeting to get to know you and your family better!
