This year we are pleased to welcome Whitney Capps, a national speaker for Proverbs 31 Ministries and an author. Whitney’s first book, Sick of Me, was released in March of 2019.
Whitney’s delight is to dig into God’s Word for profound yet practical truth, and she has a love for helping women connect their passion with their purpose for the glory of God. Whitney is a pastor’s daughter and cancer survivor.
She and her husband, Chad, are raising their four sons, Cooper, Dylan, Ryder and Tate, just outside Atlanta, Georgia. Whitney was the speaker for the 2023 Ministers Wives Luncheon for the Southern Baptist Convention.
Whitney’s topic for our luncheon is entitled, “God, His Goodness – What to Do When It Doesn’t Seem So Good,” based on the text from Romans 8.

Hosting a Table
Area churches or women’s ministries are encouraged to purchase a table of 10 and assign a hostess to decorate and coordinate guests. Once a table has been purchased, you’ll receive an email outlining the Table Hostess Role. You can access that below as well.
Please email your guest names and their email addresses to sabrinamaddox@sbts.edu as you receive them so our staff can get them registered in the event system.
Donations
There will be a table designated for Southern Exchange donations at the luncheon | Popular items that are always needed are:
- Gently used or new clothing for older girls
- Gently used or new clothing for boys of all ages
- Gently used or new furniture and toys

Spring 2023 Luncheon
On April 24, 2023, over 250 women from local churches heard from guest speaker, Jaylynn Cook, as she read from Jeremiah 3:19-24 and addressed the topic, “Holding On To Hope”.
Spring 2022 Luncheon
On April 11, 2022, the Women’s Auxiliary hosted our Spring Luncheon. Over 200 women attended from local churches as our guest speaker, Courtney Reissig, spoke on the topic, “Be Prepared: How Psalm 1-2 is a Framework For Life”.
Fall 2021 Networking Luncheon
On September 27th, 2021, the Women’s Auxiliary hosted our Fall Networking Luncheon. We gathered to hear women from all walks of life speak on several different topics. The following seminars were offered:
