The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary is represented by students of 41 different countries and all 50 states in the continental United States. Though ethnically and culturally diverse, there is unity in Christ.
As servants of Christ, the Residence Life Team strives to maintain the unity of the Spirit by daily living out Christ’s example of sacrificial love. The vision of the Residence Life Program is to foster a seminary community where residents encourage, care for, and serve one another to the glory of God. The Residence Life Program, much like the Seminary, is not intended to replace the local church; rather, it exists to complement the local church. The mission of the Residence Life team is to build and facilitate communal fellowship among residents by means of the work and care provided by the Resident Assistants.

Cephas is from the middle-belt region of Nigeria. He is pursuing further studies in biblical counseling to teach and train pastors and lay counselors, conduct research, and offer counseling services. He and his family are members of Fellowship Church Louisville.

BCheng is from Los Angeles, California. He is pursuing an M.Div with a desire to do pastoral ministry. BCheng is a member of Hunsinger Lane Baptist Church.
Lucas Olivares

Lucas is from Brownsville, Texas. He comes from a family of three siblings – two older brothers and a younger sister. Lucas initially pursued a degree in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M; nevertheless, he strongly desired to serve in ministry. As a result, he is currently pursuing his MDiv in Christian Ministry and is actively involved in the Clifton Baptist Church community.

Evan hails from Jakarta, Indonesia, and is pursuing an M.Div to serve as a pastor or in college ministry. He is a member of Third Avenue Baptist Church.

Bryson is from Oahu, Hawai’i. He is pursuing an Advanced M.Div with the goal of entering the pastorate and higher education. Bryson is a member at Clifton Baptist Church.

Marc is a New Mexico native, but most recently lived in Southern California and is here at Southern working toward his M.Div. in Christian Ministries. Julia was born and raised in New Mexico, but moved to Kentucky from Southern California and is working toward her M.A. in Biblical Counseling.
