The Health and Recreation Center at Southern Seminary will host basketball and soccer camps this summer for elementary school age children. The basketball camp registration deadline is fast approaching and the soccer camp is not far behind, so check out the details below:

Basketball FUN-damentals camp June 1-5

The Health and Recreation Center (HRC) and Jim Ashby, head varsity basketball coach and P.E. teacher at Highlands Latin School and SBTS fitness instructor, will host a basketball camp from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., June 1-5 for rising 3rd-8th grade boys and girls. The camp fee is $50 and the registration deadline is May 29. Register in person at the HRC.

The camp will focus on individual skill improvement and refinement (dribbling, passing and shooting) and also help the children learn basic team concepts (pick and roll, give and go and defensive switch). Current Highlands School players and HRC staff will assist Ashby.

Health and Recreation Center soccer camp June 15-19

The HRC will host a soccer camp June 15-19 from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. for kindergarten through 5th grade boys and girls. The registration deadline is June 12 and you may register in person at the HRC. The camp fee is $50 per child.

The camp will focus on individual skill improvement and refinement (ball handling, kicking and passing) and will also help the children learn basic team concepts and safety. All seminary dependents are invited to attend.
